With Detroit (aka, the Motor City) serving as a major hub for fashion and design worldwide, I wanted to create a flyer to promote this scene. Inspiration for this flyer’s design came from a flyer created by graphic designer and marketing strategist, Jaylin Bolden.
To give my flyer more flair and fine detail, I added a cinematic thin curtain effect in the background to highlight Detroit’s history of design and cultural impact. Upon looking at the flyer, the text and font style at the top, “Design Fashionez,” convey boldness and ambition, while the motto “Where design meets fashion” illustrates precision and craftsmanship. Ultimately, the name (Design Fashionez) behind the concept event promoted in the flyer is meant to symbolize the unity of design and fashion coming together and expressing itself as a combined entity.
In conclusion, I hope this flyer can leave a positive, long-lasting impact on the Detroit community and to display to people around the world the greatness Detroit produces in the fashion and design scenes.
