Dreaming Big in Big D is a concept rap album that conveys inspiration from a real-life story of a character transitioning into a new phase of life. In this story, my character aims to accomplish big goals in the soon-to-be more accumulated environment of Detroit, MI.

The design of the cover first appears as my character looking towards Detroit’s skyline while sitting on a plain field of grass, symbolizing the coming transition my character is going through in life. Going even further, the font used in the album cover’s design is Perpetua Titling MT Bold and Old English (specifically for the ‘D’ in the title of the album cover), which captures Detroit’s unique style, identity, and aesthetic.

What you’re seeing here from my album cover comes from another cover design that inspired me to make this project come to life. Inspiration that was found and helped me in the making of my cover comes from Juice Wrld and Justin Bieber’s Legends Never Die cover.

Designing this cover was not only a source of immense joy and fulfillment, but it has also made me feel more grateful for how far I have come in life, which I hope will inspire others to feel the same in their lives.
